What is having self-confidence? The person who has self-confidence is the person who enters a place, and immediately everyone looks at her/him. It is the person who expresses with conviction speaking in public. Many people believe that people who have confidence in themselves have been born that way, but this is not true. Benefits of self confidence
When you believe in yourself, you will be more willing to try new things. Whether you request a promotion or sign up for a cooking class, believing in yourself is key to exposing yourself. When you feel confident, you can devote your resources to the task at hand. Instead of wasting time and energy, worrying that you are not good enough, you can dedicate your energy to your efforts.
Then, ultimately, you will perform better when you feel safe. For example, if you feel confident about a presentation you are going to make, you will focus on delivering your message to your audience. However, if you lack confidence in your ability to communicate, you may worry that nobody will listen to you or that you are worried about messing it up.
Consequently, you may have difficulty concentrating and tripping over your words, which may reinforce your belief that it is terrible to give presentations. Fortunately, there are things you can do to increase your self-confidence. How confident do you look to others?
Your level of self-confidence can be displayed in many ways: your behavior, your body language, how you speak, what you say, etc. Look at the following comparisons of typical trust behavior with the behavior associated with low self-confidence. What thoughts or actions do you recognize in yourself and the people around you?

How long does it take to become more confident?
The great psychologist and positive attitude enthusiast Abraham Maslow believed that a person had to go through several experiences before reaching his “self actualized” or confident being.
This great pattern is often referred to as Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. He quoted more famously: “What a man can be must be. We call this need self-actualization.”
Unfortunately, getting to the point of completely trusting yourself takes time, especially when we live in a world so full of toxicity.

Michael Jordan did not allow this small setback to define his life.
Instead, he continued to persevere and perfect his trade. He knew he had something special, and he wasn’t going to let that keep him from being great.

How to be confident in yourself – 5 Tips
Start slowly. Tell yourself that you are good enough, stop thinking once and for all that you were born as a failure and stop denigrating and comparing yourself to others. Then I will give you some ideas to develop self confidence.
1. Become your best friend
2. Treat yourself with patience and love. The attitude you have towards yourself is fundamental.
3. Change your negative internal dialogue. Many times what we say to ourselves does not help us. When you realize that you have a negative thought, immediately change it to a positive one. If you are doing something and it goes wrong, and you say, “I am stupid,” change this quickly and say to yourself: “I have not done well, but I will keep trying because I know I can do it.”
4. Accentuate the positive. Accentuate your positive qualities. Every morning try to remember what you did well the day before. When you go to sleep, write everything positive about your day, you will be surprised. Many of us have grown by continually emphasizing the negative, and this has become a bad habit. Change this habit.
5. Take risks. The security itself depends on the risks you take. If you do not achieve something, remember that in life, you are learning and growing. See mistakes as lessons. Never say you are a failure because you feel you have failed or made a mistake.
